Last Updated: June 2026

Sunshine Registered Agent ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the information you entrust to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our Florida LLC formation and registered agent services.

Information We Collect

To provide professional formation and compliance services, we collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Identifiers: Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
  • Company Information: Proposed business names, industry type, names and addresses of LLC members or managers, and other data required for Articles of Organization.
  • Payment Information: Credit card or payment details are collected at checkout to process service fees and state filing fees.
  • Documentation: Any business-related documents uploaded to our platform for legal drafting or storage purposes.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Fulfill LLC formation requests and obtain Federal Employer Identification Numbers (EIN).
  • Act as your Florida registered agent and provide ongoing compliance monitoring.
  • Communicate with you regarding order status, annual report deadlines, and support inquiries.
  • Improve our website functionality and customer experience.
  • Verify your identity and prevent fraudulent transactions.

Payment Processing (Stripe)

All financial transactions are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Sunshine Registered Agent does not store or have access to your full credit card number. Stripe’s use of your personal information is governed by their own Privacy Policy, and their systems are compliant with PCI-DSS standards to ensure the security of your payment data.

Registered Agent Mail Handling

In our capacity as your Registered Agent, we receive legal service of process and official state communication on your behalf. We handle these documents with strict confidentiality. Physical mail is digitized and uploaded to your secure client portal. We do not sell or share the private contents of your legal mail with third parties, except as required by law.

State Filings (Public Records)

Please be advised that when we file Articles of Organization or Annual Reports with the Florida Department of State (Division of Corporations), certain information becomes part of the public record. This typically includes the LLC name, principal address, and the names/addresses of registered agents and managers. Information filed with the state is accessible to the public and is beyond our control once submitted.

Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We only share information with:

  • Government Agencies: The Florida Department of State and the IRS to complete your filings.
  • Service Providers: Partners who assist in our operations (such as email delivery services or cloud storage).
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety and rights of our company or others.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to analyze site traffic, remember your preferences, and facilitate the checkout process. We may use tools like Google Analytics to understand how users interact with our site. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though some features of our service may not function correctly without them.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including SSL encryption and secure server protocols, to protect your data. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
